1: Aik subah phoolon ki tehri par (baitha howa) aik parinda dusre parindon se keh raha tha ke qudrat ne insan ko par ata nahin kiye hain aur is sada loh ko zameenpar rehne wala hi banaya hai.
Tashrih: Tayara mein taraya ki elamat se kaam lete howe insan ki madi taraqi ke hawale se us ki ikhlaqi aur muasharti inhtaat par tanz kiya hai aur is ke liye aik parinde aur aik insan ke darmiyan muqalma ka tamseeli andaz ikhtyar kiya gaya hai. Tayara nazam ke in ashaar mein Iqbal ne kaha hai ke aik subah bagh mein phoolon ki tehni par baitha howe aik parinda apne dusre sathi parindon se keh raha tha ke Allah Ta'ala ne par sirf hum parindon ko ata kiye hain. Qudrat ne insan ko par ata nahin kiye keh woh fizaon mein ur sake. Shayad is mein qudrat ki ye maslhat kar farma thi ke is ne insan ko fizaon mein urne ke liye nahin balkeh zammeen par rehne ke liye banaya hai.

5: Tayara kya hai? woh (insan ka banaya howa aik aisa) asmani parinda hai jis ke farishton ke paron se bhi zayada teez (raftar) hain.
6: Jo urnay mein shaheen (ki manind) aur taqat mein aqaab (ki manind) hai. Lahore se Faryaab tak ka (sara) alaqa us ki nazar mein hai.
7: Jub woh asman par urta hai tou aik shor barpa karta hai aur josh-o-kharosh (ke alam) mein hota hai lekin jub apne thikane (hawai aday) mein hota hai tou machli ki tarah khamosh hota hai.
8: (Is tarah insani) aqal ne pani aur mitti se aik Rehnuma paida kar liya hai aur zameen se asman tak ke liye aik zariya paida kar liya hai.
9: Jub us aqal mand parinday ne meri un baton ko suna tou us ne meri taraf aik dostana nazar se dekha.
10: Phir us ne choonch se apne par ko khujlaya aur kaha: (Aay insan) tou ne jo khuch kaha hai us par mujhe bilkul herani nahin hai.
11: Lekin aay (dunya ki har cheez ke) kaif-o-kam par nigah rakhne wale (Insan! agarcheh dunya ke sare) nashaib-o-faraz tere talism ke aseer hain.
12: (Lekin zara ye tou bata ke) kya tou ne apne (sare) zameeni kaam sanwar liye hain ke ab asman ki taraf parwaz karne (aur asman ko sanwarne) ka bhi dhihan karne laga hai?
